Whiteland Community Night happening Friday

The town of Whiteland is hosting a community party on Friday for residents.

The Greater Whiteland Community Night will be held in the field east of the Whiteland Fire Station at 141 S. State St. from 5 to 9 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.

Free activities include live music featuring 90 Proof, hot air balloon rides, inflatables, face painting, balloon twisting, a caricature artist and fireworks. Food, beer and wine will be available for purchase. Vendors include Whit’s Inn, Azteca Taco Truck and Frigid Fog.

Fireworks will begin after 9 p.m.

There will be road closures on Paris Lane and Elm Street, and limited resident parking in an area between Elm Street, Railroad Street and the curve of Milbrodt Drive before it turns into Ames Drive.
