A man and woman from Indianapolis were killed in an accident on State Road 135 Monday.
The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office was called to a double fatal crash at State Road 135 and State Road 44 at 7:32 p.m. that evening.
Witnesses reported a Harley Davidson motorcycle failed to stop at a red light and collided with a Ford F450 truck, according to a crash report by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.
The two deceased people, Michael S. Merriman, 56, and Melissa A. Fidler, 46, were riding on the motorcycle together at the time of the collision. Both were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Johnson County Coroner’s Office.
Cause of death and toxicology are still pending, the coroner’s office reported Tuesday.
Trafalgar Police, and Bargersville and Trafalgar fire departments, assisted the sheriff’s office and coroner’s office.
