WHITELAND
John Richard Smith, 63, of Whiteland, Indiana, went to be with his Lord on Monday, July 29, 2024. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his large circle of family, friends, colleagues, and anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him.
John was born in Wichita, Kansas, September 6, 1960 to James and Jennieve Smith. John was a graduate of Speedway High School and Indiana University and was employed by ALM First Financial Advisors.
John enjoyed golfing and traveling with his wife, family, and friends and spending quality time with his grandkids.
John is survived by his devoted wife and high school sweetheart, Susie (Engmark) Smith; his sons, Nick (Tracy) and Justin; grandchildren, Cole, Addison, Jeremiah, Lillian, and Nora Lynne as well as his sister, Judy (John) and twin brother Jay (Jamie).
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Jerry and his sister, Jeannette.
Visitation will be held Sunday, August 4, 2024 from 1:00 until 3:00 pm, followed by a 3:00 pm funeral service at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, IN, 46143.
