INDIANAPOLIS
Victoria Ann (Fisher) Taylor, 73, passed away on the evening of Friday, August 9th, 2024 at her home in Indianapolis.
Victoria (Vicki) was born on July 9th, 1951, in Evansville, IN., to Donald B. and Stella M. (Brown) Fisher. At the age of 5, her family relocated to Carmel, and later New Whiteland, but she returned to Evansville every Summer in her younger years to spend time with her Grandparents who remained there. Her relationship with her Grandmother was one that she cherished and talked about often.
She married Ronald L. Taylor Sr., who survives, on October 4th, 1975 at Greenwood Christian Church in the chapel. For the 48 years following, they were inseparable, truly the second half to each other, and shared their love with everyone in their family.
She had a career in insurance, working as an Underwriter at companies such as USF&G and American States Insurance in her career. After retiring from insurance, she worked at Babies “R” Us in the Registry department helping expecting parents plan for their new families, a role that was very fulfilling to her with her love of family.
She was a natural caregiver always concerned with the well-being of others. She enjoyed traveling later in life, either driving cross country for weeks at a time, or exploring various locations within the state for a quick day or weekend trip. As much as she loved that time away with the love of her life, she also enjoyed going out for meals with her children, family get-togethers to play cards or parties, or just stopping by for a cup of coffee and conversation.
Survivors also include five children, Ronald (Pamela) Taylor Jr., Lisa Stevens, Michele Taylor-Miller, Julie McKee, and Benjamin (Christy) Taylor, her siblings Donald K. Fisher, Brenda (Damian) Katt, and Dean (Betty) Fisher, along with 15 grandchildren and 14 great-children, all of whom she loved dearly and will be missed by.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Mark Fisher.
