Pamela Jan Olston, 78, of Greenwood, passed away on August 10, 2024. She was born on April 12, 1946 in Pontiac, Michigan to the late Emil John “Jack” Grischow and Ardis Kathleen Grischow.
Our sweet, thoughtful, helpful, silly, amazing grandma, precious mom, loving sister, loyal daughter, and treasured wife went to be with her special guy, Del on August 10, just in time for their 56th wedding anniversary. After almost 8 years without him by her side, she decided to surprise him, and we couldn’t think of a better day for them to be together again.
She had a remarkable ability to make others feel special, paying meticulous attention to the small details that made her acts of kindness truly memorable. She found joy in antiquing and camping with her husband. A devoted member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Pam dedicated her time to volunteering and contributing to her community. Her family was the center of her world, and she always put them first, creating lasting memories and touching the lives of everyone around her.
Pam will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her legacy of love and thoughtfulness will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
She is survived by her children, Jeff (Leslie) Olston and Jennifer Olston; grandchildren, Elijah, Tyler, Grace, Ruby and Jackson; great grandson, Finley Kurt; and her brother, Peter (Trenna) Grischow.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Delmar C. Olston.
Visitation will be held from 2:00pm until 5:00pm on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at G. H. Herrmann Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 1605 S. State Road 135. Funeral service will be at 11:30am on Friday, September 6, 2024 at G. H. Herrmann Funeral Home and Cremation Center. She will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens immediately following the service.
