Braves top Lancers

Indian Creek posted a team score of 231 to beat Edinburgh at Timbergate on Tuesday. Shelby Roach and Emily Hogue each carded a 55 to lead the Braves, with Allison Vavul adding a 59. The Lancers’ Macie Blandford was the low individual with a score of 45.

Center Grove beats Roncalli

No. 11 Center Grove wound up a 160-200 winner over Roncalli at Hickory Stick. Zoe Land led a balanced Trojan lineup with a 39, Olivia Alvey and London Dodson both finished at 40 and Amanda Wallace shot a 41.

Trojans shut out Brebeuf

Austin Lowden scored three goals to power Class 3A No. 5 Center Grove to a 4-0 victory over Brebeuf Jesuit on Tuesday. Owen Dorrell also netted a goal for the Trojans (2-0), while Keaton Barnhizer had a pair of assists.

Warriors tie Sparkplugs

Whiteland battled to a 1-1 draw with Speedway. Angad Dosajh scored the lone goal for the Warriors (0-1-1) off an Austin Cooper assist.

Center Grove defeats Orioles

Center Grove earned a 25-22, 25-27, 25-23, 25-18 win over Avon on Tuesday evening. The victory improves the Trojans to 2-1 on the season.

Lancers lose in four sets

Edinburgh was defeated by Jac-Cen-Del, 25-23, 20-25, 25-20, 25-17. Kinzie Purvis led the Lancers with nine kills, 12 assists and two blocks, while Kenna Streeval totaled 39 digs.

Woodmen get past Falcons

Greenwood opened its season with a 3-2 triumph over Perry Meridian on Tuesday. The Woodmen got all of their points in singles, with Carter Chatham, Nick Pruett and Keegan Lane each coming out on top; Pruett won his match in three sets.

Grizzly Cubs steamroll Cardinals

Franklin dropped just two games overall in a 5-0 rout of Southport. Reid Davidson, Nathan Neville and Jaxson Doddridge won their respective singles matches in straight sets, Luke Sherry and Brady Tucker took their match at No. 1 doubles and the duo of Ethan Barnes and Carsten Bland did the same at No. 2.

Whiteland sweeps Dragons

Whiteland topped New Palestine, 5-0. The Warriors (2-0) got singles victories from Spencer Gillespie, A.J. Stephenson and Jeremiah Hurt, the No. 1 doubles team of Isaac Phegley and Gavin Stubbe won a three-setter and the No. 2 tandem of Quintin Gieseking and Tysen McGary prevailed in straight sets.
