Woodmen knock off Bruins

Nataly Quintero’s goal held up as the only one of the evening as Greenwood defeated Class 2A No. 18 Tri-West, 1-0. The Woodmen (3-0-1) have shut out four consecutive opponents.

Warriors top Red Devils

Bethany Floyd scored three goals to lead host Whiteland to a 4-0 win over Pike on Monday. Alexa LaPorte notched the other goal for the Warriors (4-1), while netminder Addison Emberton posted her fourth shutout of the season.

Girls volleyball

Grizzly Cubs remain unbeaten

Franklin rallied from a set down to earn a 16-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-20 win at Franklin Central on Monday. The Grizzly Cubs move to 7-0 overall with the victory.

Trojans sweep Cougars

Center Grove finished off a 26-24, 25-17, 25-17 home win over Bloomington North, improving to 5-1 on the season.

Lancers edged by Morristown

Edinburgh suffered a narrow 3-2 setback against Morristown on Monday. Braden Cox was a winner at No. 3 singles for the Lancers, while Teddy Crawhorn and Raiden Stanley earned a point at second doubles.

GCA, Whiteland fall short

Greenwood Christian (226) and Whiteland (242) lost against University on Monday. Keira Gunn led the Warriors with a round of 50.
