GREENWOOD

Norma June Anderson, 86 of Greenwood, Indiana passed away August 24, 2024. She was born July 18, 1938, in Indianapolis, Indiana, she was the daughter to the late Leonard E. &Ruth J. (Harrell) Chase. Norma was an active member of Church at Smith Valley (formerly Smith Valley Baptist Church) for many years. Norma was known for having a contagious smile, her kindness and her ability to be a friend. She loved Jesus and all those around her.

Norma loved her family with all of her heart, and treasured every moment spent with them and often expressed her love for them through her cooking. Her grandkids and great grandkids brought her great joy.

With her servants heart she shared with others her ability to provide a meal, teach a Sunday school class, or be a leader in her church. Her volunteerism was also exemplified as she pioneered the JCARC Association and other educational opportunities to provide for her special needs son. She shared her beautiful voice in the church choir as well as singing solos in church and at weddings.

Just like the beautiful quilts that she made she leaves behind a tapestry of friends and family who will miss her dearly.
