The water flushing program will begin Sept. 16 through Sept. 25.
The Edinburgh Municipal Utilities will be flushing water mains beginning at 7:30 a.m. Sept. 16 through Sept. 25.
Customers may experience some water discoloration during the operation. If a resident experiences water discoloration, it is recommended to run a slow stream of cold water until the discoloration disappears which will usually take five to 10 minutes, officials say.
If the discoloration persists, residents can call the utility office at 526-3514 option one.
Officials strongly suggest that residents do not wash white clothing during daytime hours to reduce the risk of staining and some other light colors could be affected. These colors can be washed after 5 p.m. until the flushing program is completed.
