Aspire seeking employers
Aspire Johnson County is recruiting employers to participate in the organization’s high school talent pipeline building efforts.
Aspire’s work with educators and employers is part of an ongoing effort to build talent pipelines for local businesses and stimulate the economy by ensuring that the next generation of the workforce is prepared to thrive.
At these meetings, business leaders will talk to students about their own career paths, present their companies, their products and services and share any information on training and internship opportunities that the attending students may be interested in.
Highest needs are small businesses and companies from advanced manufacturing and the technology industry. Employers should contact Aspire’s School to Work Specialist, Jennifer Hollingshead at [email protected] to sign up.
Johnson County real estate update
In August, Johnson County’s residential real estate market saw a level of activity it hasn’t seen in a few months, with sales and inventory both increasing while prices decreased.
Specifically in Johnson County in August:
- Pended home sales increased 15.8% compared to this time last year
- Available inventory increased 50.9% compared to last year
- The average home sale price decreased 17.2% to $279,928, compared to August of last year
Company acquires property in Greenwood
RailField, a multifamily investment and asset management firm, announced the acquisition of The Hangar.
