Girls soccer

Warriors blank Falcons

Whiteland rolled to a 5-0 win over Perry Meridian on Wednesday. Madison Fleury scored two goals for the Warriors (9-2, 4-1 Mid-State), while Bethany Floyd, Kinley Waalkens and Kaelyn Crawford each added one.

Trojans get past Marauders

Brooklyn Brown’s goal held up as the only offense in Class 3A No. 11 Center Grove’s 1-0 victory over Mt. Vernon. Ava Matthews made four saves to preserve the shutout for the Trojans (9-2).

Girls golf

Woodmen, Lancers play in three-way

Edinburgh and Greenwood competed against Brown County at Timbergate on Wednesday, but neither of the local teams had enough players to put up a team score. Macie Blandford shot a 45 to lead the host Lancers.

Braves take two losses

Indian Creek was defeated by Bloomington North and Edgewood at Cascades. Emily Hogue finished with a 53 and Allison Vavul a 59 for the Braves.

Franklin College

Women’s soccer falls to DePauw

Jaiden Baker netted the first goal of the match, but visiting DePauw came back to hand the Grizzlies a 3-1 loss on Wednesday evening. Franklin finishes its nonconference schedule with a 1-4-2 record.
