Sectional pairings set
The IHSAA revealed the pairings for sectional play, which will take place on Oct. 5 at eight different sites statewide. At the Mooresville Sectional, Greenwood will play the host Pioneers in the first round, with the winner advancing to a semifinal against Whiteland. Franklin will play Franklin Central in the other semifinal. Indian Creek, meanwhile, will meet Jasper in a sectional semifinal game at Bedford North Lawrence.

Trojans remain perfect
Charlie Habig had a goal and an assist as Class 3A No. 1 Center Grove won at East Central on Monday, 2-0. Austin Lowden scored the other goal for the Trojans, who take a 12-0 record into Thursday’s home match against No. 2 Noblesville.
Girls volleyball
Center Grove sweeps Braves
Class 4A No. 7 Center Grove ran its winning streak to five matches with a 25-23, 25-22, 25-22 victory at Terre Haute South on Monday. The Trojans improve to 16-5 on the season.
