Trojans advance to sectional semis
Sixth-ranked Center Grove opened sectional play with a 5-0 home sweep of Greenwood on Tuesday. Tyler Lane, Yuvraj Dasari and Quinn Smith swept the singles points for the Trojans, dropping a combined three games in the process. In doubles action, Carson Bush and Daksh Patel were a 6-0, 6-0 winner in the No. 1 spot while the pair of Russell Dean and Jack Dybwad won in straight sets at No. 2.

Franklin clinches Mid-State crown
Franklin wrapped up a perfect run through the Mid-State conference with a 25-21, 20-25, 25-23, 25-22 victory over Plainfield on Tuesday evening. The Grizzly Cubs improved to 21-1 overall and finished league play with a 7-0 mark.

Center Grove blanks Cougars
Class 3A No. 1 Center Grove, which recently moved into the top spot in MaxPreps’ national rankings, was a 2-0 winner at Bloomington North on Tuesday. Evan Hewitt and Charlie Habig found the net for the Trojans (14-0), with Austin Lowden and Carter Wynberry providing assists while goalkeeper Carter Dorrell kept a clean sheet.
Grizzly Cubs, Dragons tie
Matt Payne had three goals and an assist as Franklin battled from two goals and one player down to salvage a 5-5 tie against New Palestine on Tuesday. Gavin Fugate and Luke Moore also scored for the Grizzly Cubs (2-12-2).
