Local business accepting nominations for Heat for a Hero program

Marshall Mechanical Heating, Cooling & Plumbing, a Franklin-based company, is celebrating Veterans Day by selecting one local veteran to receive a brand new furnace and air conditioner, free of charge.

Nominations are needed from the community for deserving veterans. The nominee must own their home. Visit marshallhvac.com/heat-for-a-hero to nominate a veteran by Nov. 1.

“We know the value our nation’s veterans bring to our community, as we have three veterans on our own staff,” said Erik Marshall, owner of Marshall Mechanical Heating, Cooling & Plumbing. “We’re blessed to be in a position to help our neighbors with this program.”

Once nominations close on Nov. 1, a winning veteran will be selected and notified, with installation scheduled on or near Veterans Day. Among those devoting their time to the free installation are the veteran employees of Marshall Mechanical.

“Heat for a Hero is just one way we can say thank you to a veteran for their service,” Marshall said. “Military service impacts people in different ways, and I think the most touching part of this program will be reading the stories from people who nominate veterans from our community.”
