Rickey “Rick” Dean Hash

WHITELAND

Rickey Dean “Rick” Hash, 66 of Whiteland, passed away on October 4, 2024.

Rick was born on January 15, 1958 in Franklin, Indiana to Charles and Elta (Whitaker) Hash. He married Carla Jean Sleighter on October 19, 1979. She lovingly survives. Also surviving are their sons, Anthony Hash (Jenn) and Tyler Hash; granddaughters, Chloe Hash and Charlotte Hash and sisters, Mary Garris (Bob), Judy Jones (Dave) and Rhonda Burdine (Benny) and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in passing by his parents and siblings, Kenneth Hash, Wilson Hash, Charlie Hash, Ray Hash, Jerry Hash and Sandy Sanders.

Rick was a 1976 graduate of Franklin Community High School.

Rick worked in the plastic injection molding industry for many years. He retired as a Senior Engineer from Metro Plastics Technologies, LLC.

He was a former member of Community Congregational Church, where he served as a deacon. He was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan and history buff. He enjoyed golfing, being outdoors, and doing yard work. He loved spending time with his family and granddaughters.

A Celebration of Rick’s life will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin, Indiana with Visitation on Thursday, October 10, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, Indiana.
