Edwin “Grant” Fears

TRAFALGAR, IN.

Edwin “Grant” Fears III, 58, passed away on October 11, 2024, at home in Trafalgar, IN. Grant was surrounded by family, facing the sun, and listening to his favorite band, ABBA.

He was a six-year pancreatic cancer survivor and fought the disease relentlessly.

In addition to his love of airplanes, Grant enjoyed serving his community as an Eagle Scout, wrestling with the dogs, shopping at Goodwill, taking walks in the woods, putting up the Christmas tree, collecting, running, reading on the couch with a cup of coffee, scuba diving, talking about aliens, digging holes at the beach, eating Ritter’s frozen custard, and playing Christmas music all year round.

Grant was preceded in death by his father, Ed. He is survived by his mother, Andrea M. (Marling) Fears of Greenwood, IN; his sisters, Monquie Galster (Damon) of New Palestine, IN and Kimdra Montgomery (Garod) of Greenwood, IN; his spouse, Lisa R. (Combs) Fears of Trafalgar, IN; and his two sons, Ben Fears (Bella) of New York, NY and Spencer Fears (Jenna) of Trafalgar, IN.
