More information has been given on the timeline for the upcoming Thompson Mill Dam demolition in Edinburgh.

The company contracted by Ecosystems Connections Institute will be bringing in equipment Monday and Tuesday for the Thompson Mill Dam removal, Town Manager John Myers said Friday. The physical demolition of the dam could start as early as late Tuesday but definitely Wednesday, he said.

People are welcome to observe the demolition, however, there will be extra traffic control around State Road 252 and Eisenhower Drive to ensure people are safe, previously said SaraBeth Drybread, the town’s economic development director. The demolition is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
