Franklin Police collecting donations for toy drive

Franklin Police’s annual toy drive is now underway.

Until Dec. 2, local residents can drop off new, unwrapped toys and clothing for families in need. Donations can be dropped off at the Franklin Police Department, 2801 N. Morton St.

Officers will also take part in two donation events at Walmart, 2125 N. Morton St., Franklin. The first will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 9, and the second will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 24. FPD is partnering with Walmart for the drive.

Those wanting to fill out a form to be a recipient, or nominate someone else to be a recipient, can pick up forms at FPD or download them from their Facebook page at facebook.com/FranklinCityPD.

An online version of the form is also posted on the Daily Journal’s website at bit.ly/FPDToyDrive2024.

Interest forms are due to FPD by 4 p.m. Dec. 2. They can be dropped off at the department between 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday, or sent via email to Administrative Assistant Haley Moore [email protected].

The annual gift-wrapping event, where members of the community are invited to help wrap presents for the toy drive, will take place at 5 p.m. Dec. 11 at the Franklin Police Department.
