A southside intersection will close for reconstruction as part of the I-69 Finish Line project next week.
The intersection of Epler Avenue and State Road 37 on the southwest side of Indianapolis will close for reconstruction in two stages starting Monday. For Stage 1, the east leg of the intersection will close on or after Monday, while the remainder of the intersection will close for Stage 2 on or after Wednesday, according to an Indiana Department of Transportation project update.
The intersection will remain closed for up to 45 days, INDOT officials say.
Passenger vehicles and local traffic are asked follow the signed detour route during the closure.
For local traffic from northbound Interstate 69 to State Road 37, use the eastbound Southport Road exit to northbound Harding Street. Local traffic on the west side of Epler Avenue wanting access to State Road 37 should use southbound Concord Street, eastbound Banta Road and then northbound Harding Street, according to INDOT.
For truck traffic from northbound I-69 to State Road 37 and Kopetsky Drive, use the eastbound Southport Road exit to northbound Bluff Road and then westbound Edgewood Avenue. Truck traffic on southbound State Road 37 wanting access to Kopetsky Drive should use eastbound Interstate 465, southbound U.S. 31 and then westbound Edgewood Avenue.
