Beverly K. Hestand

<p>GREENWOOD</p>
<p>Beverly K. Hestand, 67, Greenwood, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, May 8, 2016.</p>
<p>Born Aug. 22, 1948, in Allen County, Kentucky, to the late James Hobert and Gladys Marie (Davis) Herrington, she was a 1966 Arsenal Technical High School graduate, when she met the love of her life, Richard.</p>
<p>They have owned and operated the Dairy Queen at U.S. 31 and Main Street for 30 years. In addition, Bev retired from AT&amp;T after 40 years of service.</p>
<p>She was passionate about her family, especially her grandchildren.</p>
<p>Her hobbies included playing cards, cooking and watching sports.</p>
<p>She was a former member of Mount Zion General Baptist Church and attended Emmanuel of Greenwood.</p>
<p>Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Richard A. Hestand; children, Richard A. Hestand II (Kathie) and Rhonda Lane (Steve); five grandchildren, Connor and Garrett Lane, Taylor, Katrina and Nicholas Hestand; siblings, Gayle Cogdill (Wayne), Karen Little (George), Janice Childers (Larry) and Daniel Herrington; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and -nephews.</p>
<p>Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens at Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.</p>
