Smoke in downtown office building

<p>Employees at a downtown Franklin office building had to evacuate after a small fire started in the bathroom.</p>
<p>The fire began in Johnson County Land Title, 40 E. Jefferson St., just before 2 p.m. Friday.</p>
<p>An employee called the fire department after noticing smoke inside the building. Firefighters found a small fire had started in the bathroom. Firefighters were able to quickly put out the flames, Franklin Fire Department spokesman Chuck Ridpath said.</p>
<p>Police officers and firefighters had to block traffic on Jefferson Street, just east of Main Street, for less than an hour. No one was injured.</p>[sc:text-divider text-divider-title="Story continues below gallery" ]
