<p>INDIANAPOLIS</p>
<p>Lois L. Smith, 86, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016, surrounded by her family at her home in Indianapolis.</p>
<p>Born Nov. 9, 1929, in Indianapolis to the late Harry and Provie Wick, she attended Hanover College, where she met the love of her life, Thomas P. Smith.</p>
<p>He preceded her in death March 23, 1982.</p>
<p>Family was the center point of her life. She was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother and great-grandmother.</p>
<p>Survivors include four children, Lisa Sullivan (Kevin), Kim Mears (Bill), Jeff Smith (Debbie) and Mike Smith (Lindy); and nine grandchildren, Bryan Smith, Ashley Leigh, Dana Harbin, Kara Sullivan, Kristen Owens, Zach Sullivan, Melanie Sullivan, Zane Smith and Shea Volz.</p>
<p>Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens at Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135. The celebration of life will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Washington Park East.</p>
<p>In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.</p>
