<p>EDINBURGH</p>
<p>Christine Orner, 83, of Edinburgh, passed away on Friday, Aug. 12, 2016, at Homeview Health and Rehabilitation Center in Franklin.</p>
<p>She was born on Aug. 2, 1933, in Hart County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Oscar and Bessie (Allen) Burton.</p>
<p>She married Donald E. Orner on Feb. 3, 1951. He preceded her in death on Jan. 22, 1999.</p>
<p>She is survived by a grandson, Ronald “Chip” Orner of Franklin, a granddaughter, Cynthia Kay (Clinton) Michaels of Edinburgh; a sister, Linnie (Max McClain) McCorkle of Indianapolis; and four great-grandchildren.</p>
<p>She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Ronald E. Orner; brothers, Owen “Bud” Burton, Robert Burton, James Burton and Leonard Burton, sisters, Emma Hadley, Delta Warren, Dollie Streeval and Alta Wheeler.</p>
<p>She was a member of Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church in Edinburgh.</p>
<p>She retired from Bob-O-Link Liquors after more than 20 years.</p>
<p>The funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday by the Rev. Lewis Burton at Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church. Calling will be from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.</p>
