<p>Betty J. Reeves, 92, of Martinsville, passed away Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016, at her residence.</p>
<p>She was born Friday, Nov. 16, 1923, to the late James Taylor and Fern Devina (Grimes) Overman in Indianapolis.</p>
<p>On March 14, 1942, she married her husband Frederick L. Reeves, who passed away July 24, 1990.</p>
<p>Betty was a 1941 graduate of Emmerich Manual High School in Indianapolis and had worked at Kohl’s as a sales clerk. Prior to that, she worked at Eli Lilly in Indianapolis.</p>
<p>Betty is survived by daughter, Jeannette S. Holden of Martinsville; son, James W. Reeves of Martinsville; grandchildren, Lindsey Holden, Michael Holden, Lauren Reeves, Gail Phillips and Lori DiLoretto; nine great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.</p>
<p>Preceding her in death are her husband; parents; and sisters, Nita Wakeland and Virginia Baumann.</p>
<p>Services are at 3 p.m. Saturday at Costin Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Keenan Steinway officiating. Visitation is two hours prior to the service.</p>
