FRANKLIN, IN.

James A. Morgan, 83, of Franklin, IN passed away Monday, May 3, 2021 at the Indiana Masonic Home at Compass Park in Franklin, IN. He was born May 26, 1937 in Rush County, Indiana to Donald and Dortha (Lockridge) Morgan who preceded him in death. He married Bonnie A. (White) Morgan on June 21, 1968 in Franklin, IN. She survives.

He was a graduate of Lewisville High School in Henry County, Indiana.

After high school, he entered the United States Air Force having been stationed in Thule, Greenland, Perrin Air Force Base, Texas, Okinawa, McGuire Air Force Base, New Jersey, Thailand, Lockbourne Air Force Base, Ohio, David-Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona and served in Vietnam and retired from the Air Force in July of 1975 after 20 years of service at a Tech Sergeant. He was then a supply coordinator for the Southern Arizona V.A. Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona, retiring in 1997.

He was a member of Jubilee Masonic Lodge #746 in Whiteland, IN and the Scottish Rite Valley of Tucson Orient of Arizona.

Survivors are his loving wife Bonnie A. (White) Morgan of Franklin, IN, his brother Thomas W. Morgan (Joyce) of Franklin, IN, five nieces and nephews, ten great nieces and nephews, one great great nephew and one great great niece.

A service will be conducted on Friday May 7, 2021 at 1:30 P.M. beginning with a Masonic service by Jubilee Masonic Lodge #746 followed by a service by the Reverends William Horner and Stan Icenogle. Services will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/james-morgan. Please use Firefox Internet or Google Chrome for optimal viewing. Friends may call Friday May 7, 2021 from 11AM until service time at the mortuary. Burial will follow with military honors by the United States Air Force Honor Guard and Franklin American Legion Post 205 Honor Guard at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, IN.
