<p>FRANKLIN</p>
<p>Carol (Carpenter) Akers, 69, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin. She was a resident of Franklin.</p>
<p>She was born Dec. 8, 1946, in Indianapolis, to Charles and Harriett Carpenter.</p>
<p>She married Arne Kenneth Akers who preceded her in passing on Aug. 12, 2016.</p>
<p>She is survived by her children, Carrie (Adam) McKee, Aaron (Colleen) Akers and Brian Akers; grandchildren, Logan, Adrian, Eden, Gavin, Cameron and Dawson; and one sister, Cecelia Lesner of Michigan.</p>
<p>She was preceded in passing by her parents; and one brother, Phillip Carpenter.</p>
<p>Carol was employed by Western-Electric in Indianapolis for several years.</p>
<p>She enjoyed reading. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Carol enjoyed her shopping trips with her daughter, Carrie.</p>
<p>A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the service time on Saturday at the funeral home.</p>
