Sorority presents food pantry check

Franklin’s Upsilon chapter of the Kappa Kappa Sigma sorority recently gave a financial donation to the Interchurch Food Pantry.

The group recently presented the food pantry with a $1,500 check.

The sorority emphasizes social service and raises money each year for many charities.

The Upsilon chapter was established June 1, 1947. Every year since, the women have participated in fundraisers to give back to the community. Each year, they provide a scholarship to a Franklin Community High School student, and support the local United Way in buying Christmas gifts for families.
