<p>Ray and Eva Petty of Greenwood are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary with their family.</p>
<p>Mr. Petty and his wife, the former Eva Redfern, were married on Feb. 12, 1947, at Hessville Baptist Church in Hammond.</p>
<p>He served in the U.S. Army in World War II and retired in 1985 from Factory Mutual Insurance Co. as an inspection engineer.</p>
<p>She retired from Wavetek Electronics, retiring in 1986 as a group leader.</p>
<p>They are the parents of Linda Gibson of Loveland, Ohio, Janet Ray of Houston, Texas, and the Rev. Steve Petty of Swansboro, North Carolina; grandparents of 10 grandchildren; and great-grandparents of 24 great-grandchildren.</p>
