FRANKLIN
Phyllis Joanne Hine, 91, passed away Friday, May 14, 2021 at her home in Franklin.
She was born July 17, 1929 to the late Leroy Jennings Hobbs and Mary Viola (Ingram) Hobbs in Cambridge Falls, Ohio. On September 7, 1947, she married her first husband, Clarence Earl Ireland who preceded her in death October 9, 1967.
Phyllis was a 1947 graduate of Jackson Central High School in Arcadia, Indiana. She was employed at Wester Electric for 17 1/2 years. She was a member of Centennial Christian Church in Martinsville and Order of the Eastern Star #579.
She will be missed by her family that includes her husband, Kenneth Hine who she married February 14, 1982; son, Dan Ireland of Noblesville; sister, Janet Hutchinson of Indianapolis; brother, Roscoe Hobbs of Fishers; 4 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence; parents, Leroy and Mary; son, Steven Ireland.
A Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Costin Funeral Chapel with Chaplain Elaine Clark officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Thursday, starting at 1:00 p.m.
