Boys Basketball

<strong>Warriors roll past Cougars</strong>

Brennan Neal and Riley Higdon scored 13 points each to lead a balanced effort in Whiteland’s comfortable 65-50 win at Bloomington North on Saturday.

Carter Crowe added 11 points for the Warriors (8-9), who led 52-33 after three quarters and cruised home from there.

<strong>Lancers edge Crothersville</strong>

Edinburgh picked up its third victory in four games, edging Crothersville 60-57 at home on Saturday.

Coltan Henderson scored 13 points for the Lancers (11-7), while Christian Cox and Jordan Myers contributed 12 apiece.

Franklin College

<strong>Men’s basketball team victorious</strong>

Freshman Sam Gutierrez poured in a career-best 26 points to help lift Franklin College to a 90-80 triumph at Earlham on Saturday.

John Beineke added 16 points for the Grizzlies (7-14, 6-8 HCAC), while Kale Morris and Jordan Anderson had 15 and 14, respectively.

<strong>Women’s hoops drops HCAC tilt</strong>

Despite 15 points from Ashlin Aycock and 10 from Erin Bradley, Franklin College suffered a 64-58 defeat at Earlham on Saturday.

The loss dropped the Grizzlies (6-14, 5-9 HCAC) into a four-way tie for sixth in the conference.
