Letter: Young’s involvement in schools touches issues, students

To the editor:

I write to support John Young for state representative in District 47.

I am a special education teacher at Indian Creek Schools, and John regularly contacts me to find out what I think about legislation that may impact schools and teachers. He values my opinion and wants to make sure he is informed on all sides of an issue.

John also meets with superintendents from all of the schools in and surrounding his district in order to stay involved and engaged on issues affecting education in order to improve our schools and better represent the citizens of District 47.

I also want to share that John, who is an avid fisherman, was asked to help Indian Creek’s new bass fishing club get started and took the time to speak with students in the club and provide information to help them get organized. This has meant a lot to the students, parents and the school.

Please vote to re-elect John for state representative so he may continue to serve us.
