<p>Baseball</p>
<p><strong>Braves continue win streak</strong></p>
<p>Dawson Read homered and doubled and Wyatt Phillips struck out eight in a one-hit shutout as Indian Creek roughed up Class A No. 1 Hauser on Thursday, 12-0.</p>
<p>On Wednesday, Dylan Sprong hit a grand slam and Read went deep in an 11-1 win over Cascade. Jared DeHart added three hits in that win for the Braves (13-2, 4-0 WIC), who have won eight in a row.</p>
<p><strong>Woodmen fall to Bull Dogs</strong></p>
<p>Columbus North scored early and often in a 14-0 victory over Greenwood on Thursday. The loss dropped the Woodmen to 4-12.</p>

<p><strong>Cougars storm back for win</strong></p>
<p>A nine-run sixth inning lifted Greenwood Christian to a 19-11 win over Irvington Prep on Thursday.</p>
<p>Abigail Warner went 5 for 5 to lead the Cougars (7-2), while Avery Shingleton and Izzy Reed each added four hits and scored four runs.</p>
<p><strong>Trojans rout Warriors</strong></p>
<p>Abby Herbst pitched a two-hitter, striking out eight, as Center Grove took care of Warren Central, 13-1, on Thursday.</p>
<p>The Class 4A No. 1 Trojans (21-0, 5-0 MIC) closed the game out with 10 runs in the fifth inning. Herbst also had a pair of doubles at the plate.</p>
<p><strong>Braves win handily</strong></p>
<p>Indian Creek scored at least two runs in each of its turns at the plate in a 13-3 home victory over Columbus North on Thursday.</p>
<p>Rachel Kyle hit a pair of doubles for the Braves (8-6).</p>
<p><strong>Woodmen come up short</strong></p>
<p>Greenwood suffered a 14-7 defeat against Shelbyville on Thursday. Haley Sylvester had three RBIs for the Woodmen (3-15), while Alexis Rees and Kiley Hankenhoff each knocked in two.</p>
<p><strong>Indian Creek edges Cadets</strong></p>
<p>Rachel Kyle had four hits as Indian Creek pulled out an 8-7 conference win against Cascade on Wednesday. The victory improved the Braves to 7-6 overall and 2-2 in the WIC.</p>

<p><strong>Warriors defeat Lancers</strong></p>
<p>Whiteland rolled past Edinburgh on Thursday, 176 to 220.</p>
<p>Zach Ricketts and Walt Brady each shot 43 to lead the Warriors, while Braden Hancock carded the same score for the Lancers.</p>

<p><strong>Roncalli athletes honored</strong></p>
<p>A pair of Roncalli athletes were recent recipients of major honors.</p>
<p>Senior Jack Bauer was chosen as a swimming All-American by the National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association of America.</p>
<p>Senior Kathleen Soler won the I Am Sport Award at last weekend’s IndyStar Sports Awards, recognizing her commitment to helping children in the community discover the benefits of youth sports and physical activity.</p>
