<p>Volleyball</p>
<p><strong>Trojans open with victory</strong></p>
<p>Anna Line and Calista Stafford each collected 10 kills as Center Grove opened its season with a 18-25, 25-13, 25-21, 25-22 victory over defending Class 3A state champion New Castle on Saturday.</p>
<p>Ashley Eck paced the Trojan defense with 33 digs, while Santina Schembra added 16. Madison Hammill had 28 assists, five kills and five blocks.</p>
<p><strong>Braves take two of three</strong></p>
<p>Indian Creek opened its season with two wins and a loss at the Mooresville Invite on Saturday. The Braves defeated Lawrence Central 25-15, 25-15 and lost to Cathedral 25-16, 25-14 before edging the host Pioneers 25-18, 23-25, 15-10.</p>
<p>Taylor Burkett and Morgan Frash finished the day with 15 and 11 kills, respectively, while Jessie Hart added nine kills and 28 digs. Malea Brownfield dished out 33 assists.</p>
<p><strong>Rebels sweep Flashes</strong></p>
<p>Roncalli defeated Franklin Central on Saturday, 25-23, 25-20, 25-15, behind nine kills and four blocks from Elizabeth Eads.</p>

<p><strong>Center Grove rolls past Rebels</strong></p>
<p>Sophomore Aaron McDaniel had two goals and an assist to lead Class 3A No. 12 Center Grove to a 5-1 victory over Roncalli on Saturday.</p>
<p>Jack Neal, Colin Parry and Nick Shirer also found the back of the net for the Trojans.</p>

<p><strong>Grizzly Cubs third at Providence</strong></p>
<p>Franklin placed third against a strong field at the Providence Invitational on Saturday. Ava Ray led the way for the Grizzly Cubs with a 74.</p>
<p>Ellie Beavins added a 77 for Franklin, while Liv Parramore shot 79 and Taylor Drake finished with an 83.</p>
