Police searching for suspects in vehicle theft, home burglary

<p><strong>Daily Journal staff reports</strong></p><p><strong>T</strong>he Johnson County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying the suspects and finding a van that was stolen from a Franklin house that was burglarized.</p><p>The 2011 metallic orange Dodge Caravan was stolen from a house at 3957 Graham Road between 10:30 p.m. Sunday and 12:51 a.m. Monday, according to a report from the sheriff’s office.</p><p>The resident’s truck was also rummaged through and the driver’s side door was open when they woke up on Monday. Their wallets and keys were also taken from the kitchen counter inside the house, they told deputies.</p>[sc:text-divider text-divider-title="Story continues below gallery" ]<p>The residents believe the thief broke into the van, which was parked in the driveway, and used the garage door opener located inside it to enter the house, Sheriff Doug Cox said.</p><p>The thief then used one of their credit cards to purchase a TV at 1:11 a.m. at a Greenwood store, Cox said.</p><p>The residents began to receive notifications of fraudulent charges at 12:51 a.m., the report said.</p><p>The van can be seen on the store’s security cameras with a small “Fiat-type vehicle,” Cox said.
