Multiple counterfeit bills passed in southern part of the county

<p>Trafalgar police are warning residents to watch out for fake money after at least five counterfeit bills were passed in Peoga, Morgantown and Trafalgar.</p><p>At least three fake $20 bills were passed at the McDonald’s in Trafalgar during the last few months, said Charles Roberts, chief of the Trafalgar Police Department.</p><p>A fake bill was also passed at a convenience store in Peoga. Fake money was passed in Morgantown. Both incidents happened within the last few days, Roberts said.</p><p>People that receive money that they believe to be fake should report it to the nearest police department immediately, he said.</p><p>Counterfeit money usually has a different shade of ink and is a different size than real money, Roberts said.</p>
