<p>Boys Basketball</p><p>Lancers stun Braves at horn</p><p>Chase Littlejohn beat the buzzer with a jumper from the left baseline to lift Edinburgh to a big 51-50 home win over Indian Creek on Saturday night. The Lancers (2-0) were ahead for much of the second half before the Braves (1-1) took a 50-49 lead late in the fourth.</p><p>Noah Detling had 10 points for Edinburgh, followed by Travis Jones and Riley Palmeter with nine each. Indian Creek got 18 points from Ethan Williams and 14 from Mason Britt.</p><p>Woodmen defeat Cougars</p><p>Greenwood pulled away for a 54-35 triumph over crosstown rival Greenwood Christian in the season opener for both teams. Rasheed Elemikan scored 12 points to lead the Woodmen, followed by David Young (11) and Charlie Brooks (10). Isaiah Davis paced the Cougars with 17.</p><p>Trojans open with road win</p><p>Center Grove got its season started with a 73-64 win at Franklin Central on Saturday afternoon. Marcus Ankney led a balanced Trojan lineup with 19 points, followed by Tyler Cerny (13), Ethan Jones (12), Charlie Bemis (11) and Landin Hacker (9).</p><p>Girls basketball</p><p>Braves get past visiting Cubs</p><p>Indian Creek held off visiting Madison on Saturday, 57-52. Lauren Foster led the Braves (3-3) with 21 points, while Emily Todor scored 12. Faith Wiseman contributed six points and 10 rebounds.</p><p>Trojans beaten by Roncalli</p><p>Center Grove girls basketball fell to Roncalli, 45-32. Roncalli (5-0) got 13 points from Maddie Bischoff and 12 from Sofie Carr. The Trojans (4-4) were led by Mary Wilson and Aubrie Booker with seven points each.</p><p>Lancers come up just short</p><p>Down by as many as 13 in the second half, Edinburgh stormed back to lead briefly before falling at Franklin County, 63-62. The Lancers (1-2) got 21 points from Annelise Lollar, 14 from Gracie Crawhorn and 11 from Callie Hancock.</p><p>Warriors fall at New Palestine</p><p>Whiteland stayed close throughout but couldn’t get over the top in a 53-47 loss at New Palestine on Saturday. The setback was the fifth in a row for the Warriors (2-5).</p><p>Swimming and diving</p><p>Trojans swept by Quakers</p><p>Center Grove took a pair of narrow losses against Plainfield on Saturday, with the girls falling by a 95-90 margin and the boys losing 97.5 to 87.5.</p><p>Lara Phipps (200 freestyle, 100 butterfly) and Kiersten Smith (50 and 100 free) were double winners for the Trojan girls, who also got first-place finishes from Devin Trammell (200 IM) and Mia Prusiecki (diving).</p><p>For the boys, Garrett Crist took the 200 IM and the 100 backstroke, Harrison Hite won the 50 free and Caleb Crady was first in diving.</p>
