White River Township Fire Department names best first responders

<p>The White River Township Fire Department has given awards to some of their best first responders.</p><p>The fire department recently honored several of its officers and crew members for their outstanding service to the community and the department at an awards banquet in February.</p><p>Award winners were nominated and voted on by their peers.</p>[sc:text-divider text-divider-title="Story continues below gallery" ]Click here to purchase photos from this gallery<p>Winners are:</p><p>Officer of the Year: Lt. Ryan Cox</p><p>Firefighter of the Year: Sasha Davis</p><p>Paramedic of the Year: Civilian Paramedic Anne Peege</p><p>EMT of the Year: Logan Bowman</p><p>Employee of the Year: Firefighter/EMT Mitchell Combs</p><p>Davis is the first female career firefighter at the department is the first woman to earn Firefighter of the Year.</p><p>Firefighter Corey McGaha was promoted to chief of training, Safety Lt. David Scholl was promoted to deputy fire marshal and Joshua Justice was promoted to lieutenant.</p>
