FRANKLIN
Raymond W. Harmon 92 of Franklin, IN passed away Friday June 4, 2021 at Otterbein Franklin Seniorlife Community. He was born June 20, 1928 in Eaton, IN to Clifford and Martha (Collins) Harmon. He married Marilyn J. (Cruea) Harmon on July 13, 1947 in Eaton, IN, she preceded him in death on May 12, 2020.
He was a 1946 graduate of Eaton High School. He served in the United States Air Force from 1951 until 1955. He worked for General Motors Allison Transmission in Indianapolis for 15 years retiring in 1991. He previously had been a freight billing agent for Consolidated Freightways for twenty one years.
He was a member of North United Methodist Church in Indianapolis and was a member of the church choir.
Survivors include his daughters Kathy A. Chulchian (Charles) of Franklin, IN and Cynthia K. Musgrave (James) of Sellersburg, IN, three grandchildren Christina Swaby (Mark) of Houston, TX, Jennifer Britton (Brandon) of Aurora, IN and Nicholas Harlow of Franklin, IN, two great grandchildren Graham Swaby and Claire Swaby.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and a grandson Michael Harlow.
The Reverend Larry McAdams will conduct a gathering service at 10AM Wednesday June 9, 2021 at 10AM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed for family and friends to connect at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/raymond-harmon. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Eaton, IN.
