Whiteland street named in memory of racing champ

<p>Whiteland is naming a street in a new industrial development after a drag racing champion who was a native to the town.</p><p>The Town of Whiteland, along with Jones Development, is naming the main corridor that leads into the Whiteland Exchange as Bob Glidden Boulevard.</p><p>Whiteland Exchange is an industrial property near Interstate 65 and Whiteland Road that will have multiple speculative buildings.</p><p>An unveiling and street dedication at the Whiteland Exchange entrance will be hosted by the town and developers at 10 a.m. Aug. 2.</p><p>Glidden was a Pro Stock NHRA champion. Glidden and his family lived in Whiteland for more than 40 years and he also operated a performance shop in the town. He died in 2017.</p>
