Bargersville Police investigate shots fired

<p>An shots fired investigation led Bargersville police to arrest a New Whiteland man early Wednesday.</p>
<p>Stormy Lee Neville, 21, was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine and driving without ever receiving a license.</p>
<p>A Bargersville police officer was patrolling at 2:27 a.m. Wednesday on Old State Road 37, south of State Road 37, when he heard gunshots ring out in the area, according to a Bargersville Police Department report.</p>
<p>Around the time the gunshots were heard, the officer saw a van speeding out of a trailer park in the 7200 block of W. Stones Crossing Road. Police attempted to stop the vehicle, but the vehicle sped away, the report said.</p>
<p>The driver stopped on Old State Road 37 and Huggin Hollow Road and the officer ordered everyone out of the vehicle. The driver was identified as Neville, according to the report.</p>
<p>The officer asked Neville about the gunshots and Neville told police he heard fireworks. He also told police he did not have a gun and never had a gun. Police then found methamphetamine in his wallet and police also discovered he did not have a driver’s license, the report said.</p>
<p>A witness told police Neville fired two shots into the air as they were leaving a trailer off Stones Crossing Road. Police found an empty shell casing on the seat in the van and an empty gun holster on the floor of the van, according to the report.</p>
<p>On the way to jail, Neville told police he did fire a gun out of the vehicle, but he threw the gun out the window and did not know where it was, the report said.</p>
<p>Neville, 611 Mooreland Drive, was taken to the Johnson County jail, where he was held on $4,400 bond.</p>
