Theron "Bud" Teachout, 82, of Greenwood, passed away on May 19, 2020 at home with his loving wife, Sheryl by his side.
</p>
<p>
Born on August 21, 1937 in Coldwater, Michigan, to the late Robert and Belva Teachout. On August 21, 1999 in Wabash, IN, Bud married the Love of his life, Sheryl Gerlach. Together, they shared 20 years of memories.
</p>
<p>
Bud attended Coldwater High School, and then worked at several factories in Michigan before moving to Peru, IN, where he worked as a Welder/Bender at Bryan Steam Corporation, retiring from the company in 2002 after 26 years of service.
</p>
<p>
He was a past member of the Greenwood Moose Lodge and loved to dance. His favorite was dancing the Polka with Sheryl. He loved his toy poodle Abby, but most of all he adored his grandchildren.
</p>
<p>
Survivors include Bud’s wife, Sheryl Teachout; sons, Theron W Teachout of Kokomo, IN, Dennis Teachout of Peru, IN ; daughters Brittany (Casey) Stone of Peru, IN, Karen (Alex) Becerra of Greenwood, IN; sisters Barbara (Clyde) Ellerbee of Arabi, GA and Beverly Hodge of Port Charlotte, FL; and grandchildren, Donna Simcox Wood, Gale Simcox, Candy Teachout, Trevor Teachout, Ashley Teachout, Caison Stone, London Murphy, Nasaria Becerra, Mia Becerra, and Angelus Becerra.

<p>
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tamara Cagle; brothers, William and Robert Teachout; sister, Ruth Kuntz; and grandson Wesley Teachout.
</p>
<p>
Bud will be laid to rest at a future date, at Shooks Prairie Cemetery in Quincy, MI.
</p>
<p>
Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2020, at Light of Life Lutheran Church, 2234 Sheek Road, Greenwood, with the funeral service and luncheon to follow.
</p>
<p>
