T. Rosemond "Rose" (McClain) Mayer, age 94, of Indianapolis, journeyed her way to heaven on Thursday, July 23, 2020. She was born September 6, 1925, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Rose attended school and graduated from Greenwood.
</p>
<p>
Rose is survived by her grandson, Michael Sean Bratton; daughter, Gail Schimmel; sister, Wanda Bilbrey; and stepchildren, Jerry Mayer and Judy Stearns.
</p>
<p>
She is preceded in death by her husband, Kermit "Chub" Mayer; parents, Clyde and Bessie McClain; sister, Phyllis J. Richeson; and brother, Wayne McClain.
</p>
<p>
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Simplicity Funeral & Cremation Care, 7520 Madison Ave. Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with burial after at Greenwood Cemetery in Greenwood, Indiana.

Due to the latest Marion County Public Health Executive Order, masks must be properly worn in our building and only 50 people will be allowed at in the building at any given time.
</p>
