Julia Marie (Eck) Johnson, 48, of Bargersville, entered her heavenly home on October 17, 2020. She was born December 31, 1971 to Richard and Patricia (Richardson) Eck. She was a member of Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church. She graduated from Greenwood High School and from Indiana State University. She was a 3 letter athlete while in high school and used those abilities to coach kickball at Our Lady of Greenwood, volleyball at Greenwood Middle School, and softball for Greenwood Lassie League.

Julie was a speech/language pathologist assistant for Johnson County Special Services and for Center Grove Schools. She loved working with children and took great satisfaction in her ability to help with their development. Julie was very active in her children’s activities and would often be found in gymnasiums and athletic fields across the county cheering them on.

Julie married her high school sweetheart, Don Johnson, on June 3, 1995. Separately they were strong, but together they were amazing. Even after 25 years, each one would light up when the other walked into the room. Their devotion to each other was like none you’ve ever seen. Her love for him and her children were the driving force in her fight against cancer. She was very strong and survived 3 major cancer surgeries. Julie loved spending time at the lake house with all her family swimming, boating, and of course, raking leaves in the fall. Julie is survived by her parents; her husband of 25 years, Don; her children, Caitlin, Jacob and Nate Johnson; Don’s parents, Don and Teri Johnson; and her brothers, Kevin, Randy (Pam) and Dan (Lyndsay) Eck.
