Morgantown Road to close today; Noack Road construction delayed

<p>A portion of Morgantown Road in White River Township will be closed today, and Noack Road in Whiteland is set to reopen in this evening.</p><p>Morgantown Road, just north of Olive Branch Road, will close from 9 a.m. into the afternoon, weather permitting. The road closure is so crews can place a dewatering well on the road, according to a news release from the Johnson County Highway Department. </p><p>The road will be closed to all traffic at the crossing. Local and emergency traffic can access Morgantown Road north and south of the site using a signed detour on Olive Branch, Runyon and Smith Valley roads.</p><p>Noack Road, between Rocklane and Stein roads, will reopen Wednesday evening as crews finish installing a storm sewer pipe. The road was supposed to reopen Monday after several days of construction, but was delayed, according to the county highway department. </p><p>Noack Road is closed at the storm sewer crossing. Local and emergency traffic can access either side of the closure. A signed detour route is at Rocklane, Acton and Stein roads.</p>
