Sharon R. (Weidman) McDowell, 75, of Greenwood, Indiana passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, December 4th, 2020.
</p>
<p>
Sharon was born on January 15th, 1945 to her late parents Fredrick Weidman and Bessie (Miller) Weidman in Indianapolis, Indiana.
</p>
<p>
Sharon was employed as a civilian employee at Naval Avionics for thirty years. She was also employed with Center Grove School Corporation as a bus driver, retiring in 2016.
</p>
<p>
Sharon found delight in spending time with her family. She cherished her role as a mother and grandmother and loved her family very much. She will be greatly missed.
</p>
<p>
Sharon is survived by her two children, Tommy (Nancy) McDowell of Indianapolis, Indiana and Nikki (Taylor) Wolfley of Greenwood, Indiana; her two sisters, Audrey Kortzendorf, of Greenwood, Indiana and Sandy Detty, of Greenwood, Indiana; and her five grandchildren, Whitney, Bradley, Brooklynn, Kevin, and Kylee.
</p>
<p>
Sharon is preceded in death by her husband, Mark McDowell; and her three brothers, Fred, Stan, and Mike Weidman.
</p>
<p>
A catholic mass will be conducted Wednesday, December 9th, 2020 at 12:00P.M at Our Lady of The Greenwood Catholic Church in Greenwood, Indiana with visitation one hour prior to service. Entombment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana.
