JoAnna Royce Coffman (Russell), 72 of Martinsville, Indiana passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones in the comfort of her home; where she recently claimed, "I love this place."
</p>
<p>
JoAnna was born April 9, 1948 at Quonset Point, Rhode Island to the late Christina Legan and Richard Russell.
</p>
<p>
She was a 1966 graduate of Franklin High School.
</p>
<p>
JoAnna worked for Waverly Elementary as a loved lunch monitor, librarian and remedial teacher’s aide for ten years. She was a member and past president of the PTO where she was very active for many years. She also had worked for the Indiana State Purchasing Department for a few years as a purchasing agent.
</p>
<p>
She was a Cub Master for Troop #225 and was a Brownie/Girl Scout leader. She was a member of the Morgan County and Brown County Antique Machinery Associations.
</p>
<p>
JoAnna was very active with steam engine groups. JoAnna was very active with her 1966 class reunions, coordinating many get togethers over the years. She loved dancing to the sounds of Neil Diamond, Elvis Presley, Garth Brooks and many many more.
</p>
<p>
She married Randolph P. Coffman, January 28, 1966 where they just celebrated fifty-five years of an amazing joint adventure.
</p>
<p>
Her legacy will live on through her son Brian Coffman (wife Susie), daughter Randi Jo Bougere (husband Philip), grandson Austin Coffman (fianc? Sarah), and granddaughter namesake Kianna Brown; step-granddaughrers, Katie Tranchina, Sydni Bougere and Kennedy Bougere and siblings, Stevie Russell (Wilmus), Bonita McKee (Ken), Frankie Russell, Sonny Russell (Donna) and Loye Legan. She was preceded in passing by her parents and sister, Sandy Foster.

<p>
JoAnna loved life and had a vibrant personality. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandbabies. She was deep rooted in family tradition and embraced carrying the torch of running the family owned 1920 Port Huron steam engine.
</p>
<p>
Visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday, February 2, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Due to COVID 19 mandates, masks and/or facial coverings are required with social distancing guidelines. A private family service will be live streamed on Tuesday, February 2 at 2:00 p.m. on Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home’s Facebook page. A public graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Bluff Creek Cemetery in Bargersville, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Avenue, Floor 17, Chicago, Illinois 60601 and/or to Main Street Hospice, 10 Highland Avenue, Franklin, Indiana 46131.
