<strong>Three locals advance to state meet</strong>

Center Grove’s Mia Prusiecki dominated the field at the Jasper Regional on Tuesday, posting a winning score of 503.10 to secure a comfortable victory and a spot in Saturday’s state meet.

Prusiecki is one of three county freshmen moving on to state by virtue of top-eight finishes. Indian Creek’s Ella Taylor was the regional runner-up with a total of 434.05, while Camy Quiggins of Franklin placed sixth at 380.30.

Diving preliminaries are set to begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis.

<strong>Woodmen fall to Flashes</strong>

Greenwood suffered a 47-37 home loss to Franklin Central on Tuesday. Rasheed Elemikan scored 15 points to lead the Woodmen (13-3), followed by Carter Campbell with 12.

<strong>Royals edged at home</strong>

Roncalli came up just short against visiting Perry Meridian, 38-35. Thomas Fellmeth and Aidan Leffler each finished with 10 points in defeat for the Royals (8-9).
