Mary Belle (Catron) Noble, 89, of Greenwood, Indiana, has exchanged her Old Rugged Cross for a Crown, passing peacefully to her forever home in Heaven on February 11, 2021. Mary was born on June 30, 1931, at home in Richardsville, KY, just outside Bowling Green. She graduated from Todd County High School in Elkton, KY, in 1949. She then moved to Indianapolis, IN starting her career in Indianapolis, IN at Farm Bureau Insurance downtown, before moving on to William H. Block Co. Department Store, downtown Indianapolis, as a secretarial assistant for the director of the many restaurants in the store, including the Tea Room.

She met the love of her life, Charles Robert Noble, in Indianapolis, IN, whom she married on July 1, 1951. Mary chose to be a stay-at-home mother for her children until 1979, when she rejoined the work force at L.S. Ayres Department Store in Greenwood, IN, working there until she retired in 1993. Mary was a member of First Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, where she, along with her husband, taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School classes when their children were young.

Charles preceded her on their journey to Heaven, and has been waiting for her patiently since 1995. Mary was also preceded in death by her loving parents, Charles and Mary (Wilson) Catron, dear sisters Jean Miller and Gladys Gallagher, brother-in-law Joe Miller, son-in-law David Winebrenner, a niece and a nephew, and many other family members, best friends, and loved ones.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Mary C Winebrenner, Linda Noble, Barbara (Crabb) Noble, Judy Cloud, and just-like-a-daughter Ann Bingman, as well as grandchildren Will Winebrenner, Clint Crabb (wife Cynthia Jaurez), Kayla (Cloud) Barrett (Bobby), and Krista Cloud, and great-grandchildren Emerson and Everleigh Curley.

Mary happily shared so many wonderful and colorful life stories of living on a farm in Elkton, Kentucky, of her days as a city girl working downtown in Indianapolis, of her life adventures with her husband and family, and later of her travels with her beloved girlfriends. Mary was an exemplary role model with a kind and gentle spirit, and she will be greatly missed. Private family services will be conducted. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood, IN. Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN is handling the arrangements.
