Janice Faye Hix, 81, of Greenwood, passed away on March 6, 2021. She was born on October 7, 1939 in Laurel Co., KY.
</p>
<p>
She was a member of Greenwood Christian Church Senior Group. Janice loved sewing, reading and spending time with her grandchildren. Most of all, Janice dearly loved her husband, Harold.
</p>
<p>
Janice is survived by her children, Gilbert Lee (Debbie) Crawford, Darlene "Sue"(Tom) Brockus, Tonya Ellen (Bill) Carr, Madawna Jo Springer, and Harold Odell (Chastity) Hix Jr; grandchildren, Jason Seidensticker, Heather Rice, Kimberly Crawford, Zac Crawford, Candice Campbell, Megan Muir, Alison Davis, Brandon Davis, Abigail Knipstine, Hannah Jo Springer, Bethany Springer, Micah Springer, Leah Springer, Nicholas Hix, Kaleigh Hickey, Christiana Moreland, Brayden Hix, Josie, Dixie, Ezekiel, and Flower Brockus; 18 great grandchildren; brothers, Edward Patterson and Michael Patterson; and several nieces and nephews. She was Nan to Becky Gentry, Buddy Crawford, Deanna Gregorich, Earleena Bean, Christina Crawford, Jeremy Brown and Angie Firrone.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Hix; mother, Josephine (Deaton) Patterson; and siblings, Bobby Patterson, Bill Patterson, Wayne Patterson, Shirley Ellis, Hulah Crawford and Brenda Kay Patterson.
</p>
<p>
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm at G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis, IN.
</p>
<p>
Janice will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Love of Labs, Indiana.
</p>
