Candy Sue Ott (Indianapolis) loving mother, daughter and sister, grandmother passed away Wednesday,
</p>
<p>
April 28th , 2021. She was the daughter of Thomas A. Gilbert and Billie Jean Fisher. She is survived by
</p>
<p>
her son Ronald A. Ott, Jr (Barb Williams), Grandson Dawson Ott, mother (Billie Jean Fisher) and three
</p>
<p>
brothers (Thomas A. Gilbert, Jr., Michael L. Gilbert and Andrew R. Gilbert). She was preceded in death
</p>
<p>
by her father Thomas A. Gilbert and brother, William D. Gilbert.
</p>
<p>
Candy graduated from Center Grove High School in 1968. She was previously employed at Arvin
</p>
<p>
Automotive and for the past thirty years at McFarling Foods.
</p>
<p>
Candy loved working in the yard and planting flowers. She enjoyed the many friendships that she had
</p>
<p>
cultivated over the years. She especially enjoyed being a grandmother to her only grandchild, Dawson.
</p>
<p>
Candy also took great joy and comfort from all of her animals. And there were a lot of animals. Trips to
</p>
<p>
Disney World, attending the Indy 500 and camping with friends were just some of her favorite ways to
</p>
<p>
enjoy life.
</p>
<p>
She was also active in the Tri Kappa Sorority Zeta Theta Chapter Beech Grove, IN and an avid
</p>
<p>
supporter of St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
</p>
<p>
Her smiling face and willingness to lend a helping hand will always be remembered and cherished.
</p>
<p>
Visitation will take place at Flanner Buchanan-Speedway on Tuesday, May 4 th from 4p.m. to 7p.m., with
</p>
<p>
memorial service to immediately follow.
